A Standard pre-purchase building inspection costs $600 + GST for a 1 to 2 bedroom home, rising to $1,200 + GST for 6+ bedroom or architectural homes. Every price is fixed and published, you pay after the inspection, and the 48-hour report is included.

Drone Roof Inspection
Standalone drone inspection of the roof. High-resolution aerial capture of roof condition, ridging, flashings and drainage — without scaffolding or ladders.
Thermal Imaging
Infrared thermal imaging of the interior reveals hidden moisture, insulation gaps, electrical hotspots and structural issues invisible to the naked eye.

How much does a building inspection cost in Auckland?
Our Standard pre-purchase building inspection costs $600 + GST for a 1 to 2 bedroom home, $650 for 3 to 4 bedrooms, $750 for 5 to 6 bedrooms and $1,200 for larger or architectural homes. Premium, with drone roof inspection and thermal imaging, runs from $800 to $1,800 + GST.
Is GST included in your prices?
No. All our published prices exclude GST, which is added at 15% when you pay.
What makes a building inspection cost more?
Size and complexity. Larger homes take longer to inspect and report on, which is why price steps up with bedrooms. Premium adds a drone roof inspection and thermal imaging, and faster report delivery and specialist add-ons are priced separately.
Is there a travel charge?
No. The same published prices apply across our whole service area, Central Auckland, the North Shore, West, South and East Auckland, and Rodney, with no travel charge.
When do I pay?
After the inspection. We send a secure Stripe payment link once the inspection is complete, and the report is released as soon as payment is received. Nothing is charged at booking.
Can I add a meth test or Healthy Homes assessment?
Yes. Any specialist report can be added to a building inspection: meth testing $300, Healthy Homes $300, invasive moisture testing $300, all + GST. They are done in the same visit and delivered together.
